Bombers Lose 2nd in a Row

The Bombers lost a close battle with the Puck Pimps 7-4 on Tuesday evening. Superstar Johnny Z and Brian Kostrowski were forced to log all the D minutes as Dave Smith was a late minute scratch with flu like symptoms. Their performance was inspiring as Zimnoch notched a natural hattrick in the 2nd period and Kostrowski skated the whole game with what turned out to be only 2 rivets in his right skate.

The Captain switched lines midway thru the game due to his own poor play that resulted directly into two Puck Pimp goals and a plus minus of minus 4. "I was killing those guys. Rober' and Ulfie were working hard and I wasn't." The change provided immediate results as the trio of Rober, Ulfie, and Jr netted a goal by #13 on the next shift.

The Bombers though were outmanned in numbers, never holding a lead in the contest. They did mangage to fight back from a two goal deficit twice in the game. When the Bombers fell down 2 goals again in the third they were not able to recover. A empty net goal by the Pimps with 15 seconds remaining sealed the deal.

The Bombers don't dish out 3 star performances for losses but the play of the defensemen in this contest warrant a variance from that rule on this occasion.

So here you have it- the State Electric Power Performers of the Game:

1st Star: "Superstar" Johnny "Rocket" Zimnoch 3 goals and mucho minutes.

2nd Star: Brian "My Left Foot" Kostrowski- Mucho minutes on one left foot.

3rd Star: Mike Gilbert, Jr 1g
