Bombers Bid a Temporary Adieu to Twin Oaks

The Bomber Hockey Club will forgo the rest of the Spring season at Twin Oaks. This marks the first time since the Fall of 2003 that the Bombers will not take part in a full season run at Twin Oaks. Called the "modern era" of Bomber Hockey, the Bombers current run at Twin Oaks encompassed 241 games, 18 seasons and 2 Championships.

The final game of this streak was a 7-4 loss to the Bears, the 16th meeting between the two franchises. The Bombers grabbed an early 2-0 lead on goals by B. Auld and Adam Lapinski and eyed a victory in historic game. Mark Bochner tallied a goal and B. Auld finished the scoring with his second of the night. But a empty 3rd period scoresheet for the Bombers and 3 late goals by the Bears gave the Bombers the defeat.

Ironically the game saw no penalties taken by either team.

So the Bombers take their historic tradition to "the road" for a brief spell, visiting the place where it all began Bridgwater Sports Arena.

Game notes:
Tony D'anna, Mike Gilbert Sr., and John Zimnoch each had two assists on the night.

Although a return seems reasonable at some point, will B. Auld from D'anna and Zimnoch go down as the last Bomber goal in Twin Oaks?
