Another Tie For Bombers

The Bombers recorded their second 5-5 tie of the season on Sunday in a matinee contest vs the Metro Fire. The game started strangely with goaltenders from both teams not on the ice at the start of the game. Apparantly there was a goaltender convention earlier in the day that both were attending and the "Why Goalies are Mental" lecture let out late.

The "storied franchise" needed two 3rd period goals from Mike Rosenberg and Jimmy Lawson to draw the contest even.

Next up-Bombers v Metro Fire part 2 on Tuesday at 10pm.

Bomber Lose 1st Game this Season

Looking to continue on the success of their first two games, the Bombers came into their contest with the Mountaineers with some momentum. But a nine spot from the skilled Mountaineer squad-a team whose paperwork to advance to the upper division seems to get misplaced each year.

The Bombers were able to put up 6 goals of their own including 4 in a row by Jimmy Lawson. The season record for the red, yellow and blue is now 1-1-1.

Bombers Strong in 6-4 Victory

The Bomber Hockey Club got their first win of the season in a solid effort against the venerable Chief's. The matchup pitted two teams with long NJ adult hockey histories.

The Bombers had the early lead but three 3rd period goals brought the Chiefs to within one with 6 minutes to play. Mark Bochner of the Bombers was able to provide a cushion at the 4:16 mark on a feed from Jim Lawson. The Bomber D held on from there and the first win of the season was in the books.
