Red Dogs Heel to Bomber Victory

The Bombers broke their two game losing streak with a 7-4 victory against the visiting Red Dogs at "Old School" jersey night in the grizzled Bridgewater Sports Arena. The Bombers, in control for much of the game, were only challenged midway through the third when the Dogs managed to score 2 goals in 13 seconds to cut the 4-0 Bomber lead in half. But 3 goals later, the Bombers were back in the driver's seat en route to the win.

"I don't know if he got a star tonight, but Bobby Calvano played great." noted Mike Gilbert, Jr at the post game press conference-adding "He was a ferocious backchecker and put his body in harms way quite a bit." Calvano indeed earned the 1st star as voted by the attending media for his efforts.

Both Bomber centers played well in the evening's contest with Rober' Auld notching two assists and a plus 4 rating as the pivot on Jr, Auld, Auld line that put together just prior to game time.

Lupe Poltorak shined as well on his line consisting of himself Hoyer and Calvano which was recently been dubbed the Sombrero Line or La Linea' de Sombrero. Poltorak scored 2 goals-both assisted by sweet passing from Hoyer.

So the Bomber skid is over and they await their next opponent-a Sunday Dec 18th matchup with the struggling Vudoo.

Game Notes:
Christmas came early for Brian Kostrowski who was seen skating with his shiny new skates and a brand new stick. How sweet for him.

Dave Smith returned to action after sleeping through the last two games-only one of the naps was sanctioned by Bomber management.

Josh Burke scored a shutout-sort of. Burke was called into emergency action by the Admirals-shutting out the Storm in the first period of their contest before shutting out the Red Dogs in the first two periods of the Bomber game.
