Bombers Rout Puck Pimps 7-1

The Bomber Hockey Club demolished a depleted Puck Pimp squad 7-1, in a game between two of BSA B3's top teams. "They were missing a few key personnel, but they are a good team either way." said Bomber Mike Gilbert, Jr. To that point Bomber netminder Josh Burke commented "I told the boys not to let off the throttle after the second period. Don't give them a chance." And they didn't. The Bombers, up 2-1 after the first, continued to bring it and finished the second up 5-1, en route to the 7-1 final.

Jean Eric Hoyer' capitalized on a day that saw him raining in goals from the beyond the dots like Larry Bird draining mid range jumpers against a pickup team on a playground. Hoyer' had 4 tallies on the evening- all assisted on by the crafty Neil "Ulfie" Van Der Horn. A power play opportunity that was blasted nearly thru the twine capped off a 5 point night for Van Der Horn. The recently dubbed-United Nation Line so named for the ethnic diversity of its components- Jean Eric (hon. Canadien), Ulfie (Dutch National) and Lupe' (Taco Bellian) combined for 10 points in the contest. 5 for Hoyer 4g 1a and 5 for Ulfie 1g 4a. Lupe somehow managed to escape the evening pointless. Curious.

The second line of Jr, Calvano and Bill Auld did tally two scores of their own, both by Jr, but they looked like the JV line compared to the night had by Hoyer' and Van Der Horn. "Those guys were on fire." noted a enthralled "Who's Mike?" Gilbert Jr.

Game Notes:

Adam Lapinski made up for the game he mistakenly attended but was cancelled by doubling his ice time-playing all of the game's 45 minutes-as did his D partner Brian Kostrowski.

Josh Burke had an assist on one of Hoyer's goals but I buried it in the game notes postscript because when you think about it-who really cares?
