Bombers Advance to face Smoke

Although the hat trick by sniper Mark Bochner stood out as the premier perfomance of the evening, it was the complete team effort that defined the victory for the Bomber hockey club in Sunday's 5-2 thrashing of the Storm.  The game, played on the Red Rink at BSA-"NJ's premier skating facility" (insert joke here) allowed the Bombers to advance to the semi-finals of the B3 Spring championships where they will face the Smoke on Tuesday.  "He had a lot of jump" said Josh Burke referring to Mark Bochner, adding  "our D hunkered down and played well in front of me."

"That was a great game." was the response from centerman Rober' Auld who scored the empty netter to end any Storm hope.  "I made that goal a little more dramatic than it needed to be." added Rober' refferring to the puck going off the post and in.

A line combination change proved to be helpful for the Bombers who lost 6-0 in their last contest with the Storm.  Right wingers Bill Auld and Mike Rosenberg switched allowing Rosenberg to notch 3 assists on all three Mark Bochner goals.  The line of Bochner, Bochner, Rosenberg tallied 7 points as a line while the other line of Auld, Auld, Hoyer had 4 points of their own.  The Defense of Poltorak, Junior and Smith kept the opposing forwards at bay and the Bombers have reason to be opptomistic about what lies ahead in these playoffs.
