Bombers Fall 4-3

The "storied franchise" let one slip away last night, falling 4-3 to the Bears. The Bombers opened the scoring with 2 in the first period only to see the Bears run off 4 straight goals including 2 third period tallies.

The Bombers had played a solid game throughout behind a strong performance by goaltender Marc Mezzacca. But the Bears goaltender was even stronger in defense of a Bomber squad that outshot its opponent by 12 on the night.

Jimmy Lawson scored his 2nd goal with 53 seconds remaining to draw within one but the final Bomber flurry was thwarted at mid-ice leaving the Bombers looking up at the 500 mark at 2-4-2.

Next up: the Metro Fire on Sunday Nov. 16th @ 8:45.
