Multiple Streaks Come to end in Bombers 4-1 Loss

The Bombers lost 4-1 to the 2nd place Bears on Sunday and in the process ended both their 5 game winning streak and Mike Rosenberg's individual 9 game goal scoring streak.

Bomber captain Bill Auld got thrown out of the game early in the second period on a 5min spearing call that carries with it the automatic game misconduct penalty. Auld was quoted after the game as saying, "I'm really dissappointed that I let the team down tonight. I didn't intend to spear the guy but that is how the refs saw it. I didn't like it at the time but I have to honor their decision."

Josh Burke, playing with a broken finger, held the Bears scoreless in the third and when Jim Lawson was able to score on a sweet backhand shot early in the period the Bombers had some hope. But that's all the scoring the squad could muster as their record fell to 6-3-0.

The Bombers will enjoy a brief Thanksgiving break and get back to starting a new winning streak with a game Sunday Nov.25th vs the Shamrocks.
