Mike "the Pincher" Gilbert, Sr is set to make his season debut tonight for the Bombers. After months of rehabilitation on his injured shoulder and biceps, Sr, is anxious to be lacing up the skates with the big club. He played some conditioning games with the minor league Valley Sports squad and he himself was surprised at how well he felt. "On a scale of 1-10 this was a 12", said Gilbert after his first minor league game back.
The Bomber GM was on hand for that game and was happy with what he saw. "Having Sr back on our team will be a big boost to the D-line and the morale of the squad. He is a great guy to have in our room. A true and original Bomber."
In a wierd twist of fate, the return of Sr also coincides with the departure of Jr to the injured reserve. Junior is battling a hip injury similar to the one that once saw his father Senior sidelined some years back. Here's to a quick recovery for Junior.
