Bomber representitives Mike Rosenberg, Jim Lawson and Bill Auld did their best to bring home victory for their Eastern All-star teammates, but the West held on for a 6-5 win.
Bomber Mike Rosenberg was honored with the starting right wing position on the Eastern squad. The game was a back and forth affair that the Western All-stars never trailed but also never put away for good. When the Eastern goalie was pulled for Bomber foward Jim Lawson it looked like the game might go to overtime with a flurry of activity in front of the West net. But the Ice Devil goalie was up to the task.
The game was designed by the league to foster some comraderie between the clubs and the interaction between the players made it seem like it worked. Who knows-I suppose the rest of the season will let us know for sure.
