Bombers Ousted From Playoffs
It was a great playoff game and the culmination of a pretty good season. But in the end the Bombers could not hold a 4-2 lead falling to the Admirals by a 5-4 score and ending the run at another championship.
And it was the pesky Admirals who beat the Bombers for the third time this season. The first two were regular season blowouts-the last a heartbreaking waning moment loss off an errant pass that deflected off a Bomber skate. A flukey goal put the end to a well played game in a well played season that saw the high flying storied organization lead the league in goals scored.
As is always the case in adult league hockey-the next chance at glory is just around the corner. Here's to the Spring 2012 season. See you there.
